yesterday as chris left for work emerson gave some parting advice.

"careful daddy... fall, boo boo. crash car. careful."

practically an entire paragraph.

okay. here i am ready to blog again.

today was our first really great day for playing in the snow. it took about 17 hours to get all bundled up and we trekked outside where tayor weir ran out to meet us. we attempted to build a snowman but there was so much ice on top of the snow... so we made a mini. taylor said to tell everyone that it was emerson's because it wasn't that good. guess she didn't want her name associated with a less than stellar snowman. :)

after emerson's face started turning from pink to blotchy red... and he'd eaten about half the snow in the back yard... we headed inside for coacoa and whip cream. who cares if it's chocolate and sugar before nap time... it's tradition. a mother can't expect her son to build a snowman without a cup of hot chocolate to get warm. aaaahhhh. memories....

i love how emerson makes me young again.

i am determined to get finger paints soon and throw caution to the wind.

it's good to be back.
