i'm a stay at home mom. i'm crazy about my little boys. in a past life i was an acting major. i love to read more than almost anything. if i could get a second degree it would be in art history. i love jesus somethin' awful. and i go to an amazing church who loves me well.

about a week ago my dad took emerson to that teddy bear store at polaris where kids can make their own stuffed animal.

emerson picked out an unstuffed shaggy dog, gave him a blue heart for friendship, attached him to a machine and filled him with stuffing, dressed him in fire man clothes, made him an adoption certificate (in which he stated that his new dog's favorite food was cows) and took him home.

last night we were driving along in the car and emerson said, "mommy, jesus made me."

"yes, honey, he did."

"he put heart in me?"

i knew immediately where he was going.

"yes, sweetheart, he did put a heart in you."

"what color?"

"i'm not sure what color it is. i guess red." (i just couldn't bring myself to burst the bubble that everyone's is the same color.)

"him blow me up."

in his little two year old mind, he was picturing jesus at the "build-a-human" shop hooking him up to a machine to fill him with stuffing.

frightening? insightful? cute?

whatever the implications are... it sure was funny. :) made me laugh.

I can't help wondering if in my case the stuffing machine is still running! It's great to hear from you - you have been in my prayers and thoughts so much. God Bless you all. Caroline
