you got it zena. that's exactly what makes us consider it. beauty for ashes....
i did some more research and the phoenix was actually used as a symbol in early christian artwork as a symbol for resurrection and rebirth. could it be any more appropriate?
i'm not so sure actually how i feel about the way it sounds but i just can't get over how perfect it is in meaning.

for what it's worth, i love how it sounds!
it's perfect...and i'm with karen, i like the way it sounds. i'm glad you're considering it and that you had the eye to notice it in the other post!
love you,

Chelsea,
I can't argue with the meaning. That's awesome. I still like 'Sasha,' but as you said, it ain't a democracy.
If you do choose the name you're considering, please try to spell it super kool, like: Feenix or Ph33nx or something like that.
i love it!
i heard a name today that made me think of you. i overheard a woman ask another woman in a store about her son "soren". i thought that was a really nice name (and goes well with emerson & julian) and is pretty much out of the running for me because of our last name.
i keep reading all these cool s names (i love sullivan!), but they just doing go well with simmons! darnit!
- patti
but i also like phoenix, for the record!!
